Description

This is a commissioned piece that was done for Ocean Ranch Chiropractic. This painting is hung up in the lobby. I did a small water color first for the client to look at for a general idea. I then matched the colors to blend with the office colors. I also took into consideration where the patients sit in the waiting room (lobby) so that the painting would be the right size for the distance they view the painting from. I counted over 50,000 flowers in it and walked several miles painting this one! Every couple of flowers I would step back about ten feet to make sure the flowers looked positioned correctly. This is a really magical painting. If you hang it upside down, it looks like you are walking under a bridge with flowers hanging down looking over a vast expanse of sand at the horizon. the sky becomes the land and the land becomes the sky.
