I totally identify with this scrubby, little pine at the very edge of a huge granite cliff in Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, Maine. It could be a metaphor for my life lately. It was a strange overcast day; the sun just not quite able to break through the fog, while things close at hand were in sharp relief. It all made for an interesting meditation during the time I spent painting this.
