Description
OBSERVATORY
The Original "Observatory" is an Acrylic painting on Stretched Canvas with mixed media bringing depth and texture to the work. Observatory utilizes mica chip acrylic paints as well as interference acrylic pigments which have metallic and reflective qualities. The work appears to change as the light changes in the room so almost every photo of it will be slightly different as well. The original painting utilises 2D and 3D materials adheared directly to to canvas so there is more texture in some ares of the Painting. It has one very small phosphorescent star in the details, in side of what I call the eye sofa, that glows in the dark. OBSERVATORY is a composition that expresses with the emotional life of growing up with my artistic influences, my Family and my Mother. The work is made up of rare subject matter in an Original painting which was completed in 1997 and hand signed by the Artist Feile Case in Denver, Colorado USA. Buy a excellent, large sized, colorful print. The original is for sale for $5,000.00 USD to collectors with a PayPal account who reside in the United States.

The art of Feile Case is inspiring, controversial, and ingenious. Case Art works are visceral, stylized, futuristic and inherently intuitive, possessing overtones of profound spirituality and mysticism, with a unique focal observation on what makes us human. In a world that is becoming increasingly technocentric, Case draws attention to our humanity with skillful, bold strokes and vibrant symbolism while employing experimental materials and techniques. He records the true richness of each subjects story as a life specific moment, on canvas. Case explores possibilities of personal history, painful realities, and the striking clarity of the interconnectedness that comprises each of us. He is proficient at teasing out the tales that tend to remain hidden. Case draws on our phenomenal worlds Dharmic aspects for clarity in his art works. Philosophically influenced by existentialists, not unlike John Paul Sartre, Case sees each of us as a reflection of our world and then captures this essence through acrylic hues on stretched canvas, handmade sculptures that excite the eye and stimulate the mind as well as intriguing digital art imagery and fine art photography.
Cases paintings, executed in acrylic on stretched canvas, draws on figurative, futuristic, POP and primitive influences. His visions are layered with fluorescent, metallic and phosphorescent highlights creating imagery unlike any other visionary of his kind. He creates in works of light, photography, digital art as well as various sculpting materials. His organic sculptures illuminate silhouettes of nature, branches covered by fine handmade Japanese papers and other handmade papers and fibers.

Belinda, Thank You so very much for your wonderfully descriptive comment. Observatory is quite an important piece of artwork for me. From the Bright Yellow Sun in the sky with the family within it (as I am my Mothers only Son), the figure leaning against the butter churn for support which my Mother used when she was young to make butter, the quill pen in the upper right with a musical symbol that symbolizes her adult life work as a writer, a poet and musician, to the wagon wheel/eye that is part of the base of the sofa which the exposed nude figure is relying on for seated support that is symbolic of the pioneer heritage and spirit of her and her family. The world, My Mother and My Family's Lineages in part.
