Description
Buddy Holly was an instrumental figure in the development of Rock and Roll and Rockabilly. During his short 3 years in the spotlight, he inspired generations of would be guitarists and bands,as well as perfected some analog recording tricks that have been used to this day. Not to mention his fearlessness in introducing some untraditional,instrumentaion into his music. He set the standard for the 4 man band format that became the standard throughout the 60s and 70s, with the Beatles, The Who, Kinks, and Doors. His harmonies inspired the likes of groups such as the Everly Bros, and Simon and Garfunkle. I have attempted to capture the vibrant, energy of a great artist and songwriter of many rock and roll standards, whose life was tragically cut short.
