Ned Kelly, a ruthless criminal, or a symbol of resistance against oppressive authorities.
Ned was born in 1855 to an impoverished Irish immigrant parents.
His father died when he was young, leaving his mother to raise a large family.
Ned's petty crimes soon escalated to bank robberies and the infamous Kelly gang and their homemade armor was became legendary.
Ned was eventually captured during a shootout at Stringybark Creek
Sentenced to death by hanging Kelly was executed on November 11th 1880, and his famous last words were, "Such is life."
