The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
We don't always get a lot of background with the negatives we acquire. Based on the writings on the sleeves that contained the negative for this now restored photograph, we believe this to be a 1943 to 1946 Navy Land Plane. We estimate the earlier part of this period because of the manner of dress of the pilots. This negative was of exceptional quality and depth and prints very large.

My name is Henri Bersoux. When I started taking pictures in the early seventies you had to know how to compose a good picture, evaluate lighting and other factors, and catch the moment. There were no computer programs to fix redeye and no cameras with automatic white balance bracketing. Today everyone is a photographer.
