Went to bed with the plan to head to the Pochuck Boardwalk/AT to photograph the suspension bridge, as well as the snake like shape of the boardwalk as you trek thru the wetlands to that structure. I have photographed the boardwalk before (last time was at least five, maybe six years ago?), but this would be my first time shooting the bridge as it crosses over the Pochuck River.
When I woke at 3:37 am, I poked my head out my deck’s slider doors to see that the sky was free of clouds, and the moon was shining alone in the sky. Fortunately, as I looked in the direction where I would be photographing, I noticed a collection of wispy clouds, this sight gave me hope, as I was beginning to waver on actually whether or not I was going to go or head back to bed for much needed sleep.
So, with the mindset of ‘nothing ventured, nothing gain’ and a mug of coffee already in my belly, I made the wise choice of following through with my original plan.
