This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

This place has its own legend (see below)… However, I was leaning towards something more ... Mystic! So I decided to create a small scenario that my imagination stole from other places and other times!
The legend says that, a long time ago, a very rich man lived here. He owned properties on both banks of the Alfusqueiro River, but never bothered to build a bridge. He was a very miser. One day, a stranger dressed in black appeared to him and said that he would build him a bridge, but in return he wanted the soul of the rich man. The rich man realized immediately that it was the devil he was talking to, but even so, he signed the contract with his own blood. The rich man did not believe that the devil could build the bridge on time, until Christmas Eve as agreed, so he hoped to keep his soul. But the construction was proceeding rapidly. I was born in 1976, in Portugal. Grew up in a small town in the countryside and later, at the age of 18, moved on to the big city. It was a difficult transition at the beginning, but in time I learned to love and enjoy the beauty of both. But, truth be told, I still favor nature over concrete! Thankfully, in either case, the marine coast has always been a short drive away! I'm not saying I like the beach - because I don't! - but I love the seascapes!
