Mystic Mermaid is a painting in my own unique style which I call 'Modern Madhubani'. Its a fusion of modern art with Madhubani painting which is a folk art from India.
Since Madhubani Painting carries a mood of celebration and Modern Art is about vibrance, Mystic Mermaid is a blend of both. It about a mermaid celebrating her life with her friends as she relaxes on a couch somewhere in the middle of the ocean.

Beautiful painting! I love the style, the bright, vibrant colors, the subject of the mermaid (my daughter Lorelei is named after the Mermaids/Sirens that are a legend of the Rhine River in Germany), and the composition is excellent. Fabulous work!!
