Idaho, central, wildflowers on a hillside in the Salmon River Mountains. Captured on traditional medium format film.
When spring conditions are right the wildflowers on the hillsides of the Salmon River Mountains are an impressive sight. Arrowleaf Balsam Root, Paintbrush, Lupine and other mountain flowers decorate the Ponderosa forest meadows. There were a few clouds gathering when I discovered this spot so I waited until a light cloud cover provided less contrasting light, which also makes colors appear more vivid.
