I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

I thought the colors could have been a little brighter but I was happy with the product!
This image is part of the artist's specially selected Premium Collection of distinctive images. Mount Shasta at sunset with the Little Shasta Church. This scene was captured many years ago, from a slightly different perspective, by the great Ansel Adams. It isn't one of his more famous shots, and it is in color. I suppose I consider this a tribute to him. It's also notable how little the scene has changed in some sixty-plus years.

She discovered a love for photography late in life at the age of 50 while living in Yreka, California. The desire to travel and document nature induced her to take an early retirement from a tedious desk job and go on the road. During her travels through the Western U.S. for six years (2014-2020) she collected a wealth of rewarding experiences and unique photographs. She volunteered for several National Wildlife Refuges along the way. Loree experiences profound joy in nature, and believes that all people should have the opportunity to experience it, too. Thanks Dee!

Even in color, I'm quite sure Ansel Adams would have love Mount Shasta as you pictured it. This a great one Loree! f/v
Loree Johnson replied:
Thanks Andre. Interestingly, the Ansel Adams version is also color.

Loree, you've captured a real winner here! My shots of this area do not include this subject -- and you've done such a nice job of capturing not only the church and the mountain (something most photographers could do), but the wonderful light on the mountain and the lenticular cloud are very special! This is a real WOW of an image!! :) F/V
Loree Johnson replied:
Thank you Mick. Like most photographers, I suppose, the things I shoot most are the things I have easy access to. I'm lucky to live a short drive from many different Mount Shasta vantage points.
