Description
Mounds of Sea Whip Coral by Debra Martz
There are days that you might see just a few strands of the sea whip coral washing onto the beach. And then there are the days where mounds or piles of the coral washes onto shore. As you can see, yellow is the most common while finding the red whip coral is more rare. A close look into the mound of whip coral will show all of the other sea life that came in with it such as small shrimp and crabs.

Thank you all very much for your comments! ~♥~ It often washed ashore on Padre Island. Just not always this much at once.
