I loved the card. Message inside was perfect (just like I requested) Only comment - the picture seemed too large for the card (glue showing on the side) Next time I will down size the picture. I have ordered many cards from fineartamerica and have been very pleased with the artist selection and quality of the art. Paul Cutright

"Moonlight Serenade", a P-61B-1-NO "Black Widow", number, 42-39468 of the 13th AF, 550th NFS, November 1944. It is portrayed here in a dramatic night scene over a moonlit night over the Pacific Ocean on the hunt for enemy aircraft. The P-61 Black Widow, named for the American spider, was the first operational U.S. military aircraft designed specifically for night interception of opposing aircraft, and was the first aircraft specifically designed to use radar. The P-61 had a crew of three: pilot, gunner, and radar operator. It was armed with four 20 mm (.79 in) Hispano M2 forward firing cannons mounted in the lower fuselage, and four .50 in (12.7 mm) M2 Browning machine guns.

Nice work, Dale! Night scenes like this might be the most difficult to accomplish, but you sure did. Interesting subject too...I remember my father telling me that during the war he saw a mock dogfight between a P-38L and a P-61, and the night fighter won, using its big wing flaps to turn tighter.
Dale Jackson replied:
They are difficult for sure! I haven't done many night scenes. Especially difficult when the Black Widow is so dark too. Interesting story on that P-61 vs. P-38, I can believe it!
