Moclín is a Spanish town and municipality in the province of Granada, in the autonomous community of Andalusia. It is located at the eastern end of the region of Loja. It borders the municipalities of Granada Montillana, Colomera Atarfe and íllora Pinos Puente, and the town of Alcala la Real Jaen. For the municipality runs the river Velillos.
The municipality covers moclinero Moclín towns, Puerto Lope, Olivares-including the neighborhoods of Las Casillas, Cerro Alto, Cerro Bajo, Las Majadillas, Birth and Yesares-Tiena, Tózar, Lemons and Gumiel. Notably, despite naming the town and be its capital, Moclín is the fifth of the seven core-there-in terms of number of inhabitants.
Moclín Castle [edit]

Moclín Castle stands at the top of the walls of the fortress of Moclin village, consisting of two rooms, the second of which is the citadel itself. It is located 1,100 meters above sea level and played a key role in controlling the passage between Alcalá la Real and the Vega of Granada, after the signing of the Pact of Jaén. It is dated in the century XIV.1
