Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Marilyn is an original digital collage, created through a series of layers, using photographic, hand drawn and fractal images with original textures and colors. The layers are manipulated individually to achieve the desired effect. I only occasionally use filters in my work. Some pieces may have as many as one hundred layers.
I have been some sort of artist since I could wield a crayon as a precocious tyke. I've worked for 50 years as a graphic and fine artist, but I fell in love with digital art when I had the first of three thumb joint replacement surgeries. With my hands in casts for three summers in a row, the urge for creative expression overpowered. I quickly discovered that I could push the mouse around and click without much pain, and digital collage emerged. Thank you for the kind words. As a child, we used to see her in the summer. Her photographer lived near us and his son was in my class at school. She was actually quite shy, and not particularly glam while hiding out on vacation!
