I photographed this male Northern cardinal as it perched on a branch near one of my feeders in the back yard. The cardinals have been sparse lately, so I am very grateful that they are finally making a comeback after an unexplainable, extended absence.
About Bonnie Barry
I am a retired high school English teacher who loves photographing nature with wild birds as my main interest. I live in southwestern Louisiana and enjoy the plethora of wildlife and waterfowl indigenous to the area; I also love landscape shots of the swamplands and marshes and wetlands of our state.
