Description

This is a painting of my favorite tree at a house where I used to live. Every April it would burst into astonishing color while the rest of the landscape was just starting to awaken to a muted green. There's also a funny story involving this tree and two of my cats.... I've used a hearty impasto in this painting. It seemed to fit the vigor of the tree's self-expression, come Spring. Seasons are such a wonderful thing.
