A beautiful Samoyed dog, her eyes filled with the love all our dogs show us. How lucky we are to have them in our lives. Pets ... yes ... but family members, too.

Honored to announce that "Love" came in 2nd in the Fine Art America contest "The Family Pet" sponsored by the "Ladies Who Love Photography" group, July 15th, 2017. Congratulations to the 1st and 3rd place winners. My sincere thanks to the contest administrator, Ann Keisling, and of course to all those who voted for our image.

This image is a collaboration between my son, Rich, and myself. Interested in my new camera, he picked it up and started clicking the shutter button. Of course, Sadie, who loves him best of all, was right there wondering what he was doing ... so she got snapped!!

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
