The photograph was taken during a pleasant afternoon while my husband and I were enjoying a walk at the city of Old San Juan. While walking on the sidewalk of Norzagaray street I looked beyond I saw this beautiful scene, which brought sweet memories of the times when we were young. A loving beautiful couple walking ahead of us on the sidewalk. As I saw them I thought to my self, "love is in the air at Old San Juan"! At the left forefront, the end of the wall that surrounds the city. On the sidewalk to the right of the couple one can see the several stret lamps that serve to illuminate Norzagaray every night. In the very center of the background of the photograph, the "Castillo de San Cristobal" or San Cristobal's Castle is seen, an integral part of the San Juan National Historical Site. Finished in 1783, el Castillo de San Cristobal is a Spanish fort built by Spain to protect against land based attacks on the city of San Juan. Returning to the scene in the photograph, the left horizon shows the blue sky with its beautiful streaks of clouds. The horizon is also beautified by the blue colors of the Atlantic Ocean and the bubbling water foam formed by the waves hitting shores of the city side. The Atlantic Ocean bathes the shores along the entire northern side of the Island of Puerto Rico. Walking along the sidewalk, one enjoys the noise, and the soft wind coming from the ocean. As the couple seen in the photograph, many other couples, young and not so young, local or tourists from all over the world walk around the city and experience scenes as beautiful and unforgettable as this one. Puerto Ricans become nostalgic making a reality to them the lyrics of the song written by Noel Estrada, considered to be the Island's second National Anthem, "En Mi Viejo San Juan" ...
