Louis Daniel Armstrong, nicknamed Satchmo, Satch, and Pops, was an American trumpeter, composer, vocalist and occasional actor who was one of the most influential figures in jazz. His career spanned five decades, from the 1920s to the 1960s, and different eras in the history of jazz. Pen and ink drawing on illustration board by David Lloyd Glover. Published in The Victoria Daily Times , 1972.

David Lloyd Glover has a 25-year international reputation exhibiting in major galleries in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Japan. At the age of 18 he was a full-time newspaper and magazine illustrator. For his many galleries, Glover has created images ranging from Impressionist landscapes to Iconic pop art images of Jazz artists, Rock stars and vintage automotive.
