Description
The lotus pond is a particularly magical place. In midsummer it is an ocean of huge bowl shaped radial veined leaves with a forest of flower stalks at all different stages of development. These beautiful, graceful flowers rise from the mud and muck, come up through the water and into the clear air and sunshine to open their petals, each flower, beautiful, lasting only a few days. Their short lives seem to symbolize the limited time we have to experience the adventure of life.
