Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

A beautiful lotus blossom in full bloom, nelumbo hybrid "Mrs.Perry D. Slocum", with buds and seed pods. Photographed in mid July at the wonderful Chanticleer garden in Wayne, Pennsylvania. The background has been darkened to black with editing software, the flowers are unretouched except for brightness adjustments. The lotus is a metaphor for purity in Eastern spirituality, as its roots are in the muddy bottom of a pond, yet the flower stands high above the water, in the light, unsoiled. This lovely image is on sale at reduced prices for the month of July 2014. The watermark is for web only and does not appear on prints. All products sold with Fine Art America satisfaction guarantee.
