Description
I have always enjoyed abstract works but wanted to challenge myself to create one that had more visual depth than most ink blot rorschach types of abstracts that I was primarily familiar. I wanted to create an abstract that leaps off the page while giving the viewer a sense that it could exist in the "real" world. Creating the effect seen required the incorporation of reflection, waves, and form in a unique way that resembles a frame from a high speed video recording.
This allegorical illustration is also ideal for anyone with control tendencies as it depicts feelings associated with the moment when things begin to unravel despite best efforts to keep it all together. It serves as a reminder of the value of allowing some organic aspects into projects and activities...to control less and allow events to unfold on their own. "Controlled Chaos" was an alternate title considered. Created using Apophysis & GIMP.
