Description
A man, perhaps a legislator, perhaps an office worker or aide, stands at a railing looking down from the 2nd floor of the Denver capitol rotunda. On the right of the image, a gently curving staircase leads to the 1st floor. The marble columns and surround are of Colorado rose onyx and the gleaming balusters in the upper left and on the stairs are polished brass.

Very beautiful composition with nice arches and angles. I love how you managed to include the curvature of the stairs (bottom right corner) and the curvature of the railing (across the top and the left sides of the image) to frame the image. And of course the man standing there just adds a sense of scale to the entire scene.
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
Thank you. If you are ever in Denver, a visit to this beautiful building should be on your itinerary. It's amazing, tours are excellent or you can wander on your own, no photography restrictions beyond those good sense would impose upon you :)

Beautiful shot! Opening scene of a political thriller. :)
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
Could be, Sarah :) I was pleased to have the man appear to add some scale and depth to the scene.
