Description
Log Jam is a watercolor painting based on a photograph from the Petrified Forest in Arizona. One can almost feel the force of these logs. The palette is red and brown with a hint of yellow. Petrified wood is mostly solid quartz. Each piece is similar to a large crystal and will sparkle in the sunlight. I used mostly a dry brush technique to capture the roughness of the wood.
