Description
This picturesque little homestead on the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park is commonly known as the Little Buckaroo Barn. Often times, the structure is called the Betty Dick barn with reverence to the most recent private owner. The barn is one of the remaining buildings still standing on the Trail River Ranch property which was homesteaded dating back to 1914, a full year before the National Park was established.
During my 3 weeks of photo sessions in RMNP, I was able to visit this iconic location twice. This image was from my initial session. The final image as a print will be approximately a 2:1 ratio which is something that I love to create to emphasize elements of the scene.
