The Lincoln Memorial is a famous American monument, built in the honour of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States of America famous for leading the country through the American Civil War and abolishing slavery. It is located in the Potomac Park in Washington, D.C. The Memorial is built in the form of an Antiquity Doric Temple, and it is famous because of the large, seated Abraham Lincoln statue which is 19 feet tall, and it is located right in the entrance to the building.
