Limned In Light
Photograph - Digital Photography
A Japanese maple is limned in early morning light on an autumn morning in the Japanese Gardens in Portland, Oregon. Portland's Japanese Garden is considered one of the most authentic outside of Japan. It was opened in 1963 and contains five distinct gardens, with a total of two to three thousand plants. The five gardens are: The Flat Garden, The Sand and Stone Garden, the Strolling Pond Garden, The Tea Garden, and the Natural Garden.
Limned in Light was selected for a Blue Ribbon in the Open Art Category at the 2013 Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
