Description
Fascinated by the jewel like tones of light and shadow on a very warm and sunny day, I stood transfixed at the contrast of light and shadow and the rhythm of the pickets on the snow fence that lined the sandy beaches. This painting was done in acrylic on canvas, and the inspiration came from being on Crescent beach, in the Lehave Islands of Nova Scotia, Canada.

I agree with Martin. It is as though the fence is the vase for vine like flowers. Send it over and I will feature it in the florals group. I will be addressing the idea of the expanded vase , as this, in a posting, and will use this if you send it over, as an example. v f

An unusual and humourous composition. I like the boldness of the painting and the way the cool colours play against the warm underpainting. The feet are a nice touch! v

I love the way you played warm lights against cool shadows in the piece. This piece is awesome.

What a fabulous painting! The broken color, unique perspective, and lively brush work all complete the scene, beautifully! Congratulations for being featured in Painterly Fine Art group!
