Like many, my interest in photography was sparked as a child by my parents; both of whom were keen amateur photographers. I had a choice between being bored as they took forever to get from a to b taking pictures of anything and everything or join them. My parents were wise to this and ensured that I was equipped with a camera early on. There was then a prolonged gap when I left home, where I took hardly any photographs at all. Then came the digital age and my interest was rekindled. So here I am now, since getting a D-SLR my camera and I have been pretty much inseparable. Anne, I love a great black and white image. As a teenager my Grandmother taught me her charcoal technique of black and white portraits. She wrote a book named "LIGHT FROM THE SHADOWS" in 1969. This image just takes me back into some wonderful memories! F/L JERRY
