Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

TCU first fielded a football team in 1896. Under legendary coach Dutch Meyer and Heisman Trophy quarterback Davey O'Brien, the Horned Frogs claimed two national championships (1935 & 1938). O'Brien's prolific production in the Southwest Conference earned him the Heisman and Maxwell trophies in 1938. The Philadelphia Eagles selected O'Brien with the 4th pick in the 1939 NFL draft. O'Brien led the league in passing in both 1939 & 1940. Following two successful seasons with the Eagles O'Brien retired from football to join the FBI. A career in the FBI transitioned to a career in the growing Texas oil and gas industry. Football stayed close to O'Brien's heart, advising Lamar Hunt on the creation of the American Football League (AFL), serving as color commentator for the Dallas Cowboys (1960-64), and supporting his alma mater TCU Horned Frogs.
