About a mile south of North Platte, Nebraska is a place known as Dodge Hill and it is a wonderful elevated place to overlook North Platte. And because of the scenic view, the sunrises and sunsets are fabulous from this view point.

On the drive up the hill a group of evergreen trees make a great contrast with a white cloud that has been majestically painted in shades of pink and magenta by the sunset behind the photographer. As you can see, one of the evergreen trees is leaning into the group.

This photograph has had an artistic filter applied to give it qualities unique to the art of painting.

Interested in photography since my high school years in the late 60�s, I finally purchased a Nikon SLR in the late 70�s and wasn�t long until I started selling my work. In 1970 I began my electrical career and continued to mix photography into my daily travels. With my successful electrical career coming to a close with retirement in mind, I won�t be one of those persons that retire and wonder what they will do with the rest of their lives.
