Description

"Lavender Tea" is a still life in Watercolour and Collage. I am a certified collector of cheap but significant 'junk' and fall in love with objects that I feel I can turn into paintings. Here I have made a very cheap but beautiful wall clock with pseudo distressed features into something more than just a cheap ornament from the hardware store. I have combined it with an elaborate tea pot which was a gift from my daughter and some silk lavender flowers. All of these treasures adorn my overly-clutterd house, and inspire paintings even during the cold dark winter days.
