Description

This morning I noticed the stem of what I believe may be the last canna of the season was bent over and about to fall to the ground. I cut the stem and brought it into the house and shoved it into a vase too small for the plant and placed a cloth napkin around it. I wanted to paint it alla prima before the flower wilted. This is the result.
