... Palm trees sway
in the tropical breeze
at the big lake in Okeeheelee Park
in West Palm Beach.
Big puffy clouds hang
over the lake
on a beautiful summer morning,
perfect reflections
in the cool clear fresh water.
This spot is where
the water ski championships is held.
The ski jump is just around the corner
of the lens.
This park and lake
is a world-class water skiing
competition venue where Nationals
have been held many times
during the winter months.
The water is warm and still,
protected from Florida wind,
almost a cove in the western reaches
of Palm Beach County.
Lily pads skirt the edge of the lake,
a pretty Everglades decoration
for this marsh pond...
