Title: Koi Fish in Pond Swimming With Two Mallard Ducks

I took this shot at the Gardens of the World in Thousand Oaks, California.

This original photograph is special because of the difficulty of the shot. I wanted to capture the calmness and crisp beauty of a school of Koi as they swam side by side along with the two Mallard ducks. I wanted you to be able to fell the water and the elegant peaceful beauty of each individual fish alongside the ducks. I wanted the water to be secondary in the shot, yet still be important to the overall felling of the final picture.

Gardens of the World is in Thousand Oaks, California. The Gardens are about hour and half out side Los Angeles. The gardens are well-manicured and maintained. All sorts of garden inspired by different countries arethere. My favorites were the Japanese one and the English. I like their koi pond and tea house, it is a beautiful setting. The rose gardens are spectacular.
