The worn and aged ivory keys, reflected in the beautiful wood of this 1914 Bosendorfer Grand Piano is as beautiful this time as it was the first.. I first saw this piano at La Posada Hotel, in Winslow, Arizona. I was taken by the beauty of this magnificent Grand Piano. Having grown up with a Baby Grand Piano, the experience was again, as exciting as the first time I saw it. The brilliant sheen on the wood, is still as beautiful today as it was when it was first built.
The Bosendorfer was formed by Ignaz Bosendorfer in 1828 in Vienna Austria. Eventually, the Bosendorfer family sold the company to others, and today, the company is owned by Yamaha.
Today, to many, the Bosendorfer is regarded more highly than Steinway, another brilliant and magnificent piano company.
