Iris is the Greek word for Rainbow and represents the Greek goddess of the rainbow.
In Christianity The Iris Flower is the symbolism for Our Lady of Sorrow , the petals representing a sword .
Who is ready for a glorious Spring show ? The Bearded Iris.
Can you hear them singing their praise and glory ?
I was fortunate enough to capture this scene just as the sun was setting low in the sky. The sunlight dancing through the translucent petals of the Iris flower became a melodious song.
This stunning display of Rainbow colors of Royal or Cobalt blue, green, purples and a Raspberry orchid will make a joyful statement in a sunny room.
Perfect to lift up the spirits and brighten up a dark corner in any room of the house. The black backdrop and dramatic shadows in this series makes for an elegant and striking display.
