Description
INSECTS OF HAWAII I features six of Hawaii Island's endemic species of insects, combined with Hawaiian tapa cloth-inspired designs in rich sepias and greens. It was created as a companion piece to "Insects of Hawaii II" for Hawaii Island's 2015 Hawaii Nei Art Show, a juried exhibition. The original can be seen at Wailoa Center in Hilo, HI, Nov. 6, 2015 - Dec. 17, 2015. Although the original is framed with forest green mat and 24x30 chestnut wood frame, the piece will look great in a variety of mats and frames.
