In Clouds: This photograph was taken in July 2013 near the top of Mount Washington in a town ship called Sargent's Purchase which is located in Coos County in New Hampshire. Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeast reaching an elevation of 6288 feet. Mount Washington is known as having some of the worst weather in the world. During a wild April storm in 1934, a wind gust of 231 miles per hour (372 kilometers per hour) pushed across the summit of Mount Washington. This wind speed still stands as the all-time surface wind speed record observed by man.
