The reference for this portrait just didn't do justice to the child or the occasion. I wanted to bring out the wonderment in her eyes. Her princess play dress over her pink pajamas with the amazement on her face, makes me imagine that she was thinking, "Me? I'm a princess??"

The best reference photos have interesting lighting and good detail in the face, especially the eyes. If necessary, we can work together to select appropriate photos.
