Description
The last light of the day was caught illuminating some icicles where the water from a canal was rushing over a rock spillway. The ice along the top of the photograph had formed and provided shelter to the grass below, yet inches away where water could splash on the grass in the foreground, it coated the grass blades with a thick coating of ice.
This photograph was captured in North Platte, Nebraska where the canal merges into the South Platte River.
