Description
This is my first pastel painting to be shown in FAA.
The subject is a Highland cow the species originated in the Scottish Highlands. Rugged with a long shaggy coat well suited to the often severe winters in Scotland.
Rugged and beautiful with very distinctive long horns.
I took the photograph of this cow myself when on holiday near Dornoch in the county of Sutherland.
