Water flows off of the fluke of a diving humpback whale by an iceberg north of the Arctic Circle in the Ilulissat Icefjord in Disko Bay, Greenland. I visited Ilulissat during the summer of 2022, and took several sunset cruises into the bay where we sailed around icebergs of many sizes and shapes, and saw many humpback whales both alone and in small groups. This whale was very close to my small boat when it dove under water exposing its tail fin, or fluke.
