Description
A man performs the traditional healing Hoop Dance of the Lakota people, a Native American people. He wears his traditional regalia, that he and his family designed and made themselves. Each time he passes through one of his hoops, he is healing someone. This is a very sacred dance. I shot this in Cave Creek Arizona, at an Indian art fair. The colors are faded on purpose to give you a ghostly feeling, because of the very spiritual aspect of this sacred dance. The dancer is working in the spirit world. This looks great with a very subtle wooden frame and matting. It looks fantastic as a medium size print, and large prints have a little bit of grain. This is a nice addition to anyone's cultural collection, a healing office or with Southwestern decor. Note: This is a double exposure in appearance.
