In the USA hoodoos are commonly found on the Colorado Plateau and in the Badlands regions of the northern Great Plains. While hoodoos are scattered throughout these areas, nowhere in the world are they so abundant as in the northern section of Bryce Canyon National Park, located in the Utah. In Bryce Canyon the hoodoos are much taller, looking like spires.

This photo might be of a cluster of younger hoodoos that eventually will be weathered over thousands of years and become a taller more spire like hoodoo as those seen in the Bryce Canyon National park.
