This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks

Artist's Description

A collage of digital photographs depicting the Honanki cliff dwelling ruins in Verde Valley near Sedona, Arizona. The site was first occupied by Sinagua (Hopi ancestors) natives followed by Yavapai and Apache cultures from 1100 to 1300 A.D. Several pictograph styles can be seen adorning rock faces, some dating back several thousand years before the site was occupied.

About David Salter

David Salter

My interest in photography dates back to the 1960s when as a graduate student at the University of Arizona I built my own darkroom and experimented with black and white images using 35 mm & 2 1/4" film formats. After 40 years of teaching General Biology courses & Human Physiology I hung up my lab coat and invested in some serious camera equipment. My wife and...
