The Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse sits on the point amidst calm seas and blue skies. A dredging machine and small watercraft dot the calm waters of the inlet. Completed in 1907, the 167 foot tall Hillsboro Inlet Lighthouse sits on the point of land on the northeast shore of the inlet. It was prefabricated by Russell Wheel & Foundry Co. of Detroit and shipped to the site.
