Description
This blatantly sentimental title is dedicated to my wonderful husband, who took me down to the Tranquil Lakes Nursery's annual flower festival in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, in 95-degree heat -- even though he had minimal interest in it -- and also pointed out the subject of this photo, which I would otherwise have missed entirely.
Speaking anthropomorphically, it's also what the flower might have said to the moth, since he spent such a long time collecting pollen there -- and unknowingly posing for the series of photos I took.
The moth is so pretty, I thought at first it was a butterfly. Then I learned that moths alight with their wings spread, while butterflies alight with then lifted.
