This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
About Michael Friedman
I have my father to thank for my lifelong interest in photography. Even today the smell of 'hypo' brings me back to our basement darkroom. My artistic side comes from my mother who always carried a sketch pad where ever she went. Several years after college we were experiencing a recession and I went back to school for a two year photography program, but shortly thereafter life's circumstances sent me in other directions. Only in the last few years, but now in the digital age, have I renewed my passion for the medium. As you will see, my main interest is in nature and landscape work, but I also have experience in interior and exterior architecture as well as studio and industrial applications. There is a LOT to explore and delight in while visiting your galleries, but this image grabbed me immediately....the graphic designer in me loves the composition and lighting...wonderful!! I do agree with Allen in that I would love to see a version of this in addition, with the stairway darker!
Michael Friedman replied:
Glad you like it, Rory - the lighting of course, is the sunlight coming in the window and I chose to do it in monochrome to emphasize that quality. I'm happy to hear your opinions, so please don't hesitate to give them :)
